About the Events:
Designathon/Codeathon 2.0 is the second in a series of volunteer events to help build usable and accessible Web 2.0 tools for non-profit organizations!
All of our development will be open source, and built for general use by non-profit organizations (as opposed to being custom-built for a specific organization).
These will be productive but fun events, with some unusual food and entertainment provided to keep things interesting. This is a great way to spend time with a lot of other smart, interesting techies while putting your skills towards something good in the world! A first successful codeathon was thrown in October -- you can see videos from the event on YouTube (thanks Kai!).
The designathon will take place April 14th-15th, laying groundwork in terms of functional, UI, and technical design. The codeathon will take place April 21st-22nd, at which programmers will implement designs created at the designathon, or other designs of their own choosing.
