3/14:  The designathon and codeathon wikis have been consolidated.  The designathon will be held April 14th & 15th at the MCC Building in Austin, Texas.

3/13:  The codeathon will be held April 21st & 22nd at Tek Republik in Austin, Texas.

3/9:  We had a good planning meeting on 3/6, but our planner came down with the flu this week!   He will be adding many more details to the wiki as soon as he feels better.

Wednesday Night Dinners will be helping us again with the entertainment and food (Doryan rules!)

The codeathon will be shorter this time -- perhaps 24-30 hours?  Possibly with a kickoff party the night before (Friday).  Please give feedback on the Comments page!

Want to suggest Sponsors?  Silona, our fearless leader, will hit them up for donations!

About the Designathon and Codeathon:

Join forces with other volunteer software experts and help build usable, accessible Web 2.0 tools for non-profit organizations!

The designathon will take place on a Saturday and Sunday, laying groundwork in terms of functional, UI, and technical design.  The codeathon will take place the following weekend, at which programmers can implement designs created at the designathon, or other designs of their own choosing.

A successful codeathon was thrown in October -- you can see videos from the event on YouTube (thanks Kai!), and the old wiki is available here.

These special events are being thrown by www.leagueoftechnicalvoters.org, in conjunction with www.knowbility.org on the designathon.
